Mid-October I took a few days to go to France to run the Paris Marathon. It was my 4th time running a marathon, and while it was nowhere near my personal best, I finished it! 26.2 miles, or 42.19km in the books! While I was in Paris I took the time to enjoy some of my favorite places in the city, and of course, enjoy some delicious French cuisine. Here are some pictures I took while there. Near the starting line of the marathon on the Champs Élysées, around mile 18.5 near the Eiffel Tower, and me with my finisher's medal. L'arc de triomphe, la gratinée à l'oignon (French onion soup), et la crème brûlée. In Montmartre, my favorite neighborhood of Paris, you'll find the Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur, and a ton of artists and cafés. Boeuf bourguignon et mousse au chocolat with some dinner entertainment. Last time I was in Paris was when I brought Murray students in 2019. When we were there, Notre Dame Cathedral caught on fire and the roof and spire collapsed. You can see that the rebuilding process is slow-going.
