Over Spring Break, some Murray 6th, 7th, and 8th graders visited France. We visited many of the attractions that Paris is known for such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Notre Dame, and Sacré Coeur, as well as the Palace of Versailles. We also spent time at the American cemetery and Omaha Beach learning about D-Day and WWII. We learned much about French history from our visits to the Bayeux Tapestry, Mont St. Michel, Chambord, Chenonceau, and the Cathedral of Chartres. Students were able to use some of their French language skills and definitely learned about the differences and similarities between French and American cultures. Here are some photos from our trip.
