Thursday, January 25, 2018 Murray held it's 4th annual National Geographic Bee. 10 finalists representing 4th through 8th grades competed for the title of school champion. The 10 finalists were: 4th Grade: Marlo Rosen and Kestrel Greene 5th Grade: Abdou Dieng and Carl Bradshaw 6th Grade: Vincent Dizon and Amaru Torres-Linares 7th Grade: Rodana Campion and Khalon Ward 8th Grade: Samuel Love and Cameron West It was a great competition. Marlo Rosen finished in 3rd place. Carl Bradshaw and Vincent Dizon battled it out in the championship round, but Vincent Dizon came out on top for the second year in a row. He will now take the state qualifying test to determine if he will go on to the State Bee. Congratulations and good luck!

It's been an interesting week in France. A supermarket chain had a sale on Nutella and people went crazy trying to buy some. Heavy rains have caused the Seine River in Paris to flood. Water levels are so high that boats cannot pass under the bridges, métro stations have closed and the Louvre had to close its basement and relocate many pieces of art.
