Dear families,
Mardi Gras is March 1st and that date is fast approaching. Beginning the week of February 14, we will begin learning about the traditions of Mardi Gras. Our culminating celebration will be a parade for the Kindergarten through 4th grade French students in which they will display their parade floats and masks, and hand out beaded necklaces to the other students in the school. To create our floats, I ask that students bring in a shoe or shirt box, and anything else they would like to use to decorate their floats (stickers, wrapping paper, etc.). Now through 2/15: bring in shoe/shirt boxes 2/16-2/25: students will decorate floats and masks while learning about francophone traditions of Mardi Gras Tuesday, March 1st: MARDI GRAS! Wear purple, green, and/or yellow (gold). We’ll be showing off our Mardi Gras creations with the school during our parade. As always, I thank you for your support. If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected]. Madame Korpalski
