I have assigned a personal Kahoot for the students to do. They have a week to complete it (Due Thursday May 14 by 5:00pm). It's to review farm animals and will be entered as a Reading grade.

I have been thinking of you and hope you and your families are well. Remote learning for CPS begins Monday, April 13. The program I am using to connect to your child for the interactive portion of the student’s school day is called Google Meet. Instruction will begin promptly at the assigned time, so please allow time beforehand to open the program and get signed in. Please be sure your student has paper (hopefully their French notebook) and pencil available during the lessons. Students will receive an email (in their CPS accounts) with an invitation to join our meeting. Please email me with an problems or questions. 5th through 8th grades will have class Mondays and Wednesdays 1:30-2:00pm. I will be holding office hours daily from 9am-11am. During this time, you and your child will be able to communicate with me to ask a question or just check in using your Dojo account or CPS email. Here are some resources you can access: Duolingo: www.duolingo.com Sign in with your CPS Google account. You should still be doing AT LEAST 20 minutes a week. You can study whatever topic we are currently working on, but I highly encourage you to go back and review some topics from previous years to refresh your memory. Especially make sure you know your numbers and colors because those are things we always use. Free Rice: A vocabulary review game that also helps feed hungry people around the world. Go to www.freerice.com and click on the 3 lines in the upper left corner. Click on categories and choose French (or Geography). Watch your bowl of rice fill up with each correct answer. Another vocabulary review site with an array of different games is www.french-games.net. Choose a topic to review and a game to play. Amuse-toi!
